Gudruns’ 10th anniversary

Welcome to day 8 of the anniversary event.
We have been celebrating Gudrun’s 10 years in this country and 10
years of GE Designs.
What does Fast and Furious mean to you?
Is it the movie starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker?
Or is it Gundrun’s books?

In each of the books she gives instructions and techniques to make
adorable projects fast. Once you have made any of the projects,
you will be
FURIOUS
that you have not tried them before.
I don’t know for sure that is how she came up with the titles,
but makes perfect sense to me.

I am completely intrigued by the curved piecing projects.

I looked for years for a round kitchen table. Once I saw these place mats,
I thought  this was sheer brilliance.

Jump in and make any of the table runners with precuts.
Fast, Fast, Fast

Time does go by so fast.
I remember meeting Gudrun at her first quilt market,
so I am thrilled to be a part of her celebration.
Leave a comment here and Gudrun has supplied a
copy of her new book,
 Fast and Furious Home
as a giveaway.
I will throw in a moda goody bag also.
Drawing for the winner from this post
will be listed here on August 15th.
BUT, guess what?
There’s more.

The quilt on the cover will be given away as the
 Grand Prize
during the blog  tour
on Gudrun’s site on August 15th.

Be sure to visit all the sites on the blog tour for lots more
fun, inspiration and giveaways!

Fast and Furious is both the names for the movie and the book. I just love the projects Gudrun has in her book and this would be quite the possession to own. Congratulations to her on her 10th anniversary. Thank you for the chance to win and I will always enjoy your blog.

Have LOVED Gudrun's blog hop and her patterns are just inspired. I recently bought a round kitchen table and have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what kind of placemats to buy/make/steal. Hers are just genius and make me wonder duh! why didn't I think of that?

I have enjoyed Gudrun's books patterns over the years. I had never put her book title together with the movie – duh! Now my quilting time will be even better. I'll sew and think of all the hunks on the movie!

I'd love to win the book and goody bag. Today's my birthday, what a great gift these would make! 🙂

    Love your blog!

Love your books, and especially that they have great directions for quick and easy projects. We have been using them at our quilt store, The Cotton Cupboard, in Lakeway, Tx, and inspiring quilters to make some fun and quick projects. Thanks for creating such great books. Cheryl

Love the bed runner on the cover of Fast and Furious home. Making a king size quilt is a daunting task but a bed runner seems do-able! Thanks for the give away!

  6. Okay… I NEED that pattern for the curved place mats for a round table. Each year my church does a Christmas Tea; these place mats would be perfect for the round tables we set up.

Ha…why did you have to remind me of those movies! I really love some of the table runners I've seen from that book, thank you so much for the giveaway!

I have an oval dining room table, so I always have trouble getting placemats to fit. Square/rectangular ones work on the sides, but not so much on the ends. Rounded ones fit the ends great, but look weird on the sides. Seeing the Gundrun's fan shaped placemats has my creative juices flowing! Fans on the ends, strips on the sides? Oh, yeah!
