STITCHES FROM THE CLASSROOM
Projects Inspired by Classrooms of the Past
By Renee Plains
Published by Kansas City Star
This is a charming book based on the concept of the one room schoolhouse. I was drawn to this book because like Renee, the author,I collect turn of the century class photos. Each child in the pictures tells a story. The quilts in this book also tell a story creating heirlooms for tomorrow.
Ooh, house and log cabin blocks on the cover. I know this is a book I need for my library.
This book looks intriguing. I love reading turn of the century books and would a chance to win this one! And the fact that there are quilt projects in it, makes it even better!
I am a huge fan of Renee Plains & would love to own her newest offering. Thanks for the chance.

Creating something that my children will want to pass down throughout the generations is exactly why I quilt. This book looks fantastic!!
Why are there sooooo many 'fantastic' quilt books????? To me they are like fabric, you can never & to many & there's always a 'must have' and this book is a 'must have' (that I don't have……yet) !
Love the cover of the book. Looks very warm and inviting. Also a very interesting theme. My husband went to a one classroom schoolhouse as he grew up in a very small village! Thanks for the lovely give away!
Everybody loves Renee' and everything she does. For thoses who do not know her she is a true person inside and out. A dear friend. Congrats to the winner.
Congratulations to the winner. I have the book and it's fantastic. Right now I'm working on the Abacus quilt from it made by Cheryl Miller. This is a wonderful book!
Congrats to Glenda! I've not seen this book before but my grandma would love it! She quilts and she spent her early school years in a one room school.
I can tell just by the cover that this is one book I would luv to have. I would use it as a 'coffee table book'. Who does not like a log cabin quilt or reading about our yesterdays. Creating heirlooms is why I quilt today. Thanks for the chance to put 'Stitches from the Classroom' on my coffee table for quilters and non quilters to read.
The cover looks very interesting. If I won I would give it to my daughter who has a big interest in olden times.
Congratulations to today's winner. I would put it on the coffee table with my other prized modern art quilting book. The contrast would show the both sides of me.
This looks like a wonderful book, and I would love to win it. I love quilts that tells a story.
I would love to win this book! Looks GREAT!

The cover looks like it gives a glimpse of what's in store inside the covers.
I work at a small K-4th grade school where we have after school enrichment classes. Next set of classes starting in December I have decided to teach a sewing/quilting class. This would be agreat inspiration for me 🙂 k.bugbee@att.net
Just looking at the cover excites me….winning this book would be wonderful! Have a safe trip and enjoy your new home.
This book would be a blessing to our One Room Schoolhouse, Wallace Academy for Christ! 🙂 I intend on teaching my son to sew and quilt (and any other children that the Lord blesses us with too!). Thank you for the giveaway!
You sound like a busy and probably exhausted gal, with all that's going on in your life. Thanks for taking the time to share and yes that book sounds terrific, thanks for a chance to win. Take good care.
I would love this book, we live close to an old schoolhouse built around 1900- when it closed it had two classrooms, the wc was outside at the bottom of the garden! Have a safe trip!
Congratulations to today's winner! This looks a great book – count me in please!
Glenda, congratulations on your win!
