On Pinterest I saw this picture from greylustergirl.blogspot.com. She basically framed her thread rack.

I have always dreamed of a wall of pictures like this but that got me to thinking, what about a wall of mini quilts? How fun would that be? I guess this would cost a bit more than new wallpaper but it wouldn’t be near as fun as making a wall of Minis!

And then as the wall of minis grows, it could be a hallway of minis with studio lighting.

How great would that be?

Konda is kind enough to have offered a book for the giveaway. So leave a comment about what you could do with mini quilts and I will draw a winner at random on the 31st.
Today hop on over to Emily’s blog to read more.
Each day visit these talented designers, bloggers, quilters, etc to read more about Konda’s book.

I like the idea of a wall of mini quilts and that is what I would do with them since I have a couple walls I still need to do something with. It would be a fun project and I would enjoy picking the patterns and fabrics plus the sewing.

First I could go over the book a hundred times then I would get busy people really do appreciate a gift of this sort just showing up in their mail or when they visit for no reason other than just because you thought of them. Thank-you for the give away chance

That would be great presents for a little girl, a grannie, etc. Congratulations with the book. I would like to win it. Greetings Lia van den Brand from Holland

The hallway leading to the bedrooms and bath in my home has family pictures lining both sides but it would be awesome to break up pictures with some mini quilts. I had already been thinking of doing just that. Great minds think alike I guess. I don't have near the amount of family pictures as those you've shown. Wow. That is A LOT of pictures lining those walls.

Love your idea for the wall of minis!! I display mini quilts on the inside of my front door! It's metal and I use large magnets in pockets on the back of the quilt to display them! I would love to make some more!!

  7. When Hubbie and I first got married (way way back in the 80's) we started a wedding wall up along the stairs. For several years we had great fun adding pictures of friends and family as they got married. Everyone loved to come round and see their picture in our gallery. And as we all started having babies and they grew up they loved to find Mummy and Daddy in the gallery. Sadly as the years have passed and some couples have grown apart and separated, gaps have appeared so it would be lovely to fill the gaps with mini quilts 🙂

Love making and receiving mini quilts. great way to try out a pattern or new technique! I use them for gifts, doll qults, and wall art. Never thought about a wall of minis but could be a possibility!

I love minis on the wall especially in the sewing room but I also like to use them as table toppers. I love the look of this book. Thanks for the chance to win.

When I first started quilting I swore I'd have quilts tucked here and there. Years later I've succeeded and so many more to make with plenty of wall space too! My husband says I have enough. WHAT?! You can NEVER have enough mini quilts!

Great minds and all that. I am doing exactly what you are planning. I have 4 ready to hang but need to do some wall work in my studio before I hang minis. I am putting up the old cotton clothes line and round wood pins. Cute, don't ya think? Thanks
