Inspiration comes from everywhere but I am super excited about a very simple little thing.
Watch the Moda designer schoolhouse and
look at the American Jane ABC project.
She is so clever and used her ABC fabric
to create a selvedge border for her quilt.
I will start hoarding this fabric to
be able to label my quilts. How fun would it be to spell your name and
date the back of your quilt and sew it right into the backing?
Thought I would pass along the info in case you want to start hoarding also.
This fabric is from American Jane’s Potluck collection.
Shown above is the red version, Stock # 21645-12.

Sandy spelled all her fabric collections along with
creating her own Giant Selvedge borders
Don’t make me wrestle any of you for this fabric.

Gail
so why was this you tube loaded without the CC? the closed caption is what people who don't hear count on to know what is going on.
I love the alphabet fabric. I found some of the Peas and Carrots version and have used it on four quilts so far to put the owner's name on the front.
I used the one with black type, but I really like the red.
Thanks for a awesome post. Hope for the next one
