I am so very excited to announce my new book coming February 2021, Scrap School. 9 designers have joined me by sharing one of their scrap quilts along with tips on color, fabric placement and more. Each quilt also has a color option to inspire how you can use your scraps or fabric collections to personalize the quilts for your style.

Right now, I’m really into navy and coral. And I definitely need both of these books!
Green and blue
I noticed that I am drawn to red and then something that depends on my project. Maybe reds, rust and browns in fall, red and green for Christmas , red and blue for summer……. I also like red and white. I never realized this until you said pick 2 colors…… oops
It seems like I use coral and aqua alot, but lately am drawn to darker shades now like rust and dark teams.
Red and white or blue and white are my favorite combinations.
Corals and aqua.
I really like a purple and green combo! This new book looks great!
Love to add a pop of mustard to a quilt. And I find myself using red more than any other color.

Your color bars look intriguing. I look forward to seeing more about this technique. My favorite colors to put in quilts are blue and yellow, at least right now. They tend to change and adapt quite often.
I love to use blue and teal, sometimes together in a quilt. I have read this
book from our local library and really would like it.
While I tend to choose navy, tan and creams for quilts, I also like raspberry, peach and creams. Looking forward to your newest book!!
Lissa, How exciting! I never pass on your books! There is always more than one quilt I want to make. I’m not getting any younger so I either need to sew faster or buy less books. NOT on the books! HA! My favorite colors to quilt with are dark/navy blue and cream/white. But the older I get my tastes are running towards the bright fun prints rather than all civil war reproduction/dark prints. Thanks for all you do for quilters!
This looks like a wonderful book. Scrap quilts are some of my favorites. I always gravitate to blues and white/cream.
I love the way bright pink and greens go together. A not typical combo. I look to nature when stumped for color combos, she never dissapoints.
Lately I have been loving yellow and grey.
I love using creams and blacks though lately it’s been navy. I can’t wait to see this book!
Pink and brown combos tickle my fancy.
My 2 favorite colors to use in quilts are green and aqua. I find that I like cool colors best but I am learning to appreciate warm colors too.
Turquoise and cream…turquoise in all shades
Favorite color combo: sapphire blue and sunny yellow.
I love a good tan and navy quilt, but then again a red and navy combination is hard to beat. I think your scrap quilts are just wonderful.
I love blue and green in a quilt, not always in the same quilt, but I have plans to make a sea glass quilt with all different shades of these two colors.
I love any shade of green. It’s my neutral. I use it in all my scrappy quilts .
I love using yellow, green and neutrals. But I just made a quilt top with two shades of pink and a black and white check and I love it.
I am a bright colors girl so it is hard to pick just 2. Blue has and probably will be my favorite color from the lightest sky blue to a deep dark blue. Blues go with everything! And for a second color…….today I think it is reds so many varieties to that one too! But tomorrow, the second favorite will probably change……
Your new book looks exciting. I love using reds and blues, I keep thinking I will get tired of those colors, but not yet. I’ve also been using warm fall colors the last month or so, I always have at least one scrap quilt going along with other projects.
I don’t have just 2- I love scrappy quilts thes most. But maybe, pinks and turquoise shades show up a lot?
Teal and brown! I love the look of a new quilt that looks old. And I use to use double pinks and brown a lot because they gave me that look, especially when I used a cotton batting and washed and dried the quilt several times. But really, how many pink and brown quilts can a gal make? So when teal hit the market, I was ready for a switch. And if one fabric choice is good, a hundred tones of it are better!

Picking just 2 colors is hard because I love scrap quilts that are a riot of bright colors but since that’s what is asked I’ll pick Teal and White.
Love the look of scrappy quilts, but still have a hard time putting the colors together.
Two colors for me would be aqua and coral. Congrats on the new book.
I have to agree with some of the other comments. Blue/white or red/white are my favorite colors for a quilt.
A Blue and Yellow quilt has been on my horizon for quite a while now — so cheery!
Red and blue. Someday I’m going to make a red quilt and a blue quilt with my scraps.
Lately I’ve been drawn to apricot and blue green.
I love a red and white quilt, and always pick up reds at the fabric shop. But any color combo can strike me as fantastic–it’s always the Next Best Thing, as soon as I finish this one….
Oooh, your new book looks intriguing! My two favorite colors to put in a quilt are blue and orange. As a blue-eyed blonde, I am not a fan of orange except that orange accents the blues, making them a bit brighter and bolder. Sandy
I love all colors but my favorite is teal. And gray. But right now making a quilt out of blues and browns
