Oh Scrap- it’s Corey Yoder

Today’s stop on the Oh Scrap blog hop is a visit to

Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts.

I use a lot of Corey’s fabrics in my projects so I asked her to join in on the Oh Scrap hop and I am glad she said YES.

There is just something about her way with colors. She is a third generation quilter and that kind of lineage shows in her work. Classic, yet fresh is how I would describe her style.

Corey’s newest line, Pepper and Flax will be in stores April and it is Yummy, with a capital Y. click here to see the line.

I would love to remake my Old meets New quilt in bits and pieces from all of Corey’s lines.  She has enough airy lights to reproduce the 17″ blocks in a trendy colors perfect for a young girls room.

Another thing I like about what Corey does is that she has intentionally made sure each of her fabric lines have whites, yellows and greys as shown from this pic on her blog.  Do you follow her? You should.

I love yellow and it is a hard color to come by. Corey seems to have this nailed, whether you are looking for a thirties style butter yellow or simple and sweet vintage yellows. Don’t even get me started on the greys.

Maybe I will remake my quilt in just white, yellow and grey.

What do you think?

I love Corey’s fabric designs…and quilt designs too. I just picked up a quilt from my quilter that has fabrics from at least 3 of her lines. 🙂

This might sound like a crazy question, but would you have any idea the name of that pattern behind Corey in her picture! I really like it!
