Here is the pincushion that goes with the bookazine giveaway listed below!!
Okay, who is hungry? for projects to use the moda precuts that is. A beautiful book by Edie McGinnis from Kansas City Star is hitting the shelves. KCS has been so kind to let me share with you an excerpt of the book making it one of my favorites.YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! Another of my favorite things is the new Bags, Pillows and Pincushions issue from American Patchwork & Quilting. It is a BOOKAZINE. What is that? A book and a magazine morphed into one. Who doesn’t want that? Leave me a comment here about your favorite project on the
Moda Bake Shop and you will be entered in a drawing for this bookazine and a Big & Bold pincushion made by yours truly- me. Designed by Jill Abeloe Mead. I am also making the Wool & Whimsy pincushion by Roseann Meehan Kermes but I am keeping it for myself. (I will post a picture of the pincushion as soon as I get my camera fixed. Drawing this weekend.)

I am thinking the bella solids would be wonderful for any of these.
We have been honored to have Gregory take pictures of the moda booth during quilt market. Can you imagine trying to gather all these people to get in 1 picture? Well Gregory did with a little help from Elena and myself. (I am hiding in the very back)

Oh my goodness that Bookazine is amazing!! I want to do every project in there!! 🙂 And I can’t wait to get my hands on the book from Edie. It looks delicious!! Thanks for sharing your favorite things!!
I’m kind of loving stacked coin quilts at the moment such as:
http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/02/stacked-coins-baby-quilt.html
Lots of new babies amongst my friends and family at the moment.
And … I’ve just purchased my very first jelly rolls and need some inspiration so I can rip into them.
Pick me! Pick me!
I love the braided rug! What I love more is that every time I stop in at the bake shop, there’s something new to sample!!!
Right now my favorite Moda Bakeshop project has to be Camille’s table runner…it was so quick and fun to put together! But I really do love all of the Moda Bakeshop projects…I started out bookmarking Moda Bakeshop posts…but then I realized I liked them all, so there was no need to bookmark…it’s a terrific resource!
I am loving that braided rag rug!!! So useful, especially since I don’t much like store-bought rugs! Thanks for makine me check it out!
honestly i love everything on the moda bake shop site, too bad i did not have moda products on hand to make. still trying to find a shop nearby that sells it. i am new to quilting so i do not have a stash, and due to finances and having 4 kids, cannot build it quickly. but hopefully can soon. i am making your quilt that is in the mccalls quilting magazine though. have a good day!! thanks, Stacey luv2knit@roadrunner.com
I just love moda! THey have the greatest designed fabrics ever! They never lose their appeal it seems. I liked the braided rug they made, but I couldn’t see myself using their wonderful fabrics to make one…I would use ugly material to make one and not feel guilty LOL. I do want to make a stacked coins baby quilt sometime in the near future too.
I love Vanessa’s braided rug! But I love a lot of them!
I love all the patterns, but my absolute favorite is “Sugar Cookies” by Margot. Hexagons are so great to work with. Thanks for the chance in this giveaway.
~Karen~
I just love Monica’s projects–especially her Pennie Pockets. Everything she does is so sweet and beautiful!
I like all of the patterns, but I think my fav is crazy mom quilts stacked coin quilt.
Thanks for the opportunity for the giveaway. It sounds like a super book.

i can't make a decision.
so here are my top 3 fav recipes on the moda bake shop.
{and in no particular order.}
monica's belgian waffles quilt.
amanda's stacked coins baby quilt.
and vanessa's braided rag rug.
i can't wait to get my hands on ap&q's new bookazine.
p.s. and i can’t wait to see ‘just desserts’ in person!!!
How can I pick a favorite? Camille’s table runner is the top on my list of things to make! I just finished a little zipper bag and it was so cute (and easy!). Thanks for doing a give-away. 🙂
What is not to love about the Moda Bakeshop? My friend, Vickie E, has already started the rag rug, and I love the new quilt that was posted today, Belgian Waffle. Please enter me for your drawing and keep “Moda-ing On”!
First, let me just say I luv the Moda Bake Shop and all of the ideas. My fav would have to be the chenille hot pads. Thanks for the opportunity to win a giveaway.
Tough choice, but I’ll narrow it down to the Swanky Turnover Quilt (Belgian Waffle), Stacked Coins Baby Quilt, and Charming Pincushions. Sorry, couldn’t do just one 😀
That book looks delish! ;o) There are so many great projects on the MBS blog, too hard to pick just one! Camille’s Table Runner I really liked and made one myself. Monica’s quilt, very cute and thinkin I’m gonna have to make it. Oh and the rug from Vanessa! I want one of those too! I have the perfect place for it too. ooxx`jodi
I love that new Belgiun Waffels quilt because I love that Chez Moi fabrics! I love your Moda Bake Shop site, it is so fun! I can hardly wait to get Eddie’s new book! Thanks
okay and because it’s been bugging me…
i have to add camille’s simple little runner to my favs too!!!
okay…i feel better now…tehehe.
Oh I’m gonna have to get that Gwen Marston book!!! LOVE it!!! As far as my fav’ project on the Moda Bake Shop….well…simple as it is I really like the chenille hotpads with the layer cakes! And the latest one..the Belgian Waffles quilt! Fun!!!
It was really hard to pick a favorite. My favorite is the Swanky Turnover Quilt. But I had a hard time choosing between it, the table runner and the bow tie quilt.
It is fun that you are doing a giveaway. I would love to be so lucky.
okay i have to go with i like too many of them but what i want to try next when i get some free time (AHAHahahah…hmmm) is angela’s nap sack. i think that would be perfect for my boys to play video games or watch a movie in!
Oh, Belgium Waffles is my fave project! I just love LOVE Swanky.
Oooh… can I enter too? 😉
oopss… forgot to post my fav projects on MBS… Lissa’s tips on Project sheets are my fav… of course! 🙂
I happen to Love the hello betty bow tie quilt…and the stacked coins quilt. I’m going to have to try them both!!! thanks for the giveaway!
Ohhhh, there are a few “must have’s” I need to go get!! Thanks for sharing! Now my fav project on MBS…there are too many to choose from…but if I have to pick one, I guess it would be..baby burp cloths and bibs.
Gee, you’re going to make me pick just one??? Betty’s Baby Bowties and Sugar Cookies are on my Must Do list; I’m not quite experienced enough for Belgian Waffles – all those bitty triangles scare me – so that’s on the Must Do Later list!
All are my favorite on MBS! But if given the sophie’s choice… it would have be Vanessa’s crazy cute adorable rug.
All the projects are fab, so its hard to choose a favourite…but I’m really liking the Stacked Coins Baby Quilt.
That looks like a great book. My favorite project on Moda Bake Shop is the Li’l Zipper Bags, I’ve made 4 of them, so fun to make.

I can’t just pick one. I love the charming pin cushion and the lil zipper tote. And the turnover quilt that Monica did. Awesome!
I love the rug . can’t wait to see the new magazine. Linda Gerig
Lucky me, I am leaving a comment after the sweet Punkie Pie! I love the Moda Bake shop and I am torn to have 2 favorites… I love the Sugar Cookies table runner (I have printed this out and am waiting for the hex template) and I really love the Stacked Coins. I have quilted for a long time and have never made this pattern… but the fabrics and the tutorial make it look so fun! This one will be my next project:)Since I spend a lot of time with Moda… Moda is my favorite family too!
Hard to choose a favorite because they are all so darn cute. I guess I would have to go with the Sugar Cookie pattern with hexagons. I’m feeling the need to make one of those. After making a queen size grandmother’s flower garden quilt for my daughter I didn’t think I would ever make another hexagon project but I’m warming up to a little project. With hexagons. Again.
So many great ideas it’s hard to choose just one! I’m partial to the stacked coin quilt, rag rug and belgian waffle quilt…
Why just today I was eying the Stacked Coins baby quilt, thinking I needed a lap version for myself!
abcallen@earthlink.net
Braided Rag Rug, or Stacked Coins Baby Quilt. Please don’t make me decide.
Must we choose JUST one?! I love them all, but have had a blast with Posie Pockets and Stacked Coins. Deb
How in the world could anyone pick just one favorite? I love the rug and the pin cushion but those penny pockets…I think those might be my fav. Oh heck. I love all the projects.
Love the Moda Bake Shop and all items are lovely, but my favorite is the Bow Tie Baby Quilt.
I love everything in the Bake Shop! Well who doesn’t ..whether it’s a bake shop filled with chocolate or beautiful feeling eye candy like MODA! I couldn’t choose just one so I picked 3 of my favourites. IN order starting with my absolute favourite (which I would love to start today!) is the Braided rug, Stacked coins and the Sugar Cookies. Thanks for the great ideas. I love all my MODA fabrics and love to work with the Jelly rolls.

I just love Amandajean’s stacked coins baby quilt and Monica’s Belgian Waffles quilt. I’m goign to make one of them for a baby shower, I just can’t decide which one!
The Moda Bakeshop is simply fabulous! My two favorites are the Stacked Coins and the Belgian Waffles. What a clever way to use the turnovers! I think I will actually make the stacked coins as a shop sample so when customers ask for the patterns I can just tell them where to find it.
