BH 3- Robin Pickens- 25

GIVEAWAY- CLOSED    Winner- QUILTSONG notified

Today is Robin Pickens turn to share a quilt block named

CORNER GARDEN.

It is no surprise to anyone since each of her fabric collections are based on the study of flowers that Robin’s quilt block would also be a flower. I had a lot of fun piecing this block even though my leaves are cock-eyed.

block #25

I have also included a link to each of the books on Martingale site for more information. With each purchase of these books you are also making a contribution to a specific charity. I try to mange a couple of hours most days but certainly spend quite a bit of time loving my fabrics and planning the lovely quilts I will make. They don’t all materialise however.

  9. Esther G says:

These days…maybe 2-3 hours a week. 4 young kids, working on my master’s degree, major home improvement project in process…it all adds up! I love that I can quilt in very short time increments so at least I’m making progress, no matter how slowly.

  14. Patty Jones says:

It is never the same……..with a special needs son to care for, garden, and other outside chores, not to mention working with my self-employed hubby quite a bit while he is absolutely covered up, doesn’t leave much more time than a couple hours total all week. But when it is rainy, I can get get alot more than that in! Love the winter time when I can stay inside by the wood stove and sew nearly all day some days. Fun!

  15. Becky says:

It can vary week to week but try to do a little each day. So probably about
8-10 hours a week at the least, sometimes more……

  16. Karen N. says:

Ha ha!! Too bad the time thinking doesn’t count!! Probably an average of 15 – 20 hours per week. Some weeks are better than others. Especially if I have a project that needs to be completed for a special occasion. I tend to work better under pressure!! =:)

  22. Jane McDaniel says:

I’m getting in 15-25 thanks to quarantine. There will be lots of happy friends come this Christmas!!! I’m loving MODA Blockheads too. I’m using some 30’s reproductions to make a fun, bright summer quilt.

I am happily retired and gratefully sheltering at home, so I have about 15 hours a week to quilt, but that depends upon what’s happening in my world. Thank you for the book giveaways.

  25. Dianne Leever says:

I like that you can do wonky like the rest of us! I so admired your work at Road to California and am retired since January so rearing to go as a new quilter. Quilting blogs, Facebook groups and you tube have saved me during this troubling time. I’m so inspired everyday.

  26. Reta Evenson says:

  30. Tarnia says:

At the moment only 2-3, as my husband is also using the space as his office. Zoom meetings and quilting do not work well together in a small space!
